Disney's latest business objective is paying huge dividends

This being, making live-action versions of their 'mostest beloved' animated properties.

Alice in Wonderland and Jungle Book made both made in the $1 billion range, and Cinderella in the $600k range. Beauty and the Beast opened to $170 million domestic, $350 million worldwide, so it's gonna make huge bank.

And as we know Disney is all about wringing every last cent from a lucrative trend so these properties are getting live action versions in the next few years:

Lion King
Aladdin
Winnie the Pooh
Mulan
Little Mermaid
Sword in the Stone
Dumbo
Pinocchio
Snow White

...plus more solo films for individual characters like Tinkerbell and Prince Charming.

I suppose they'll follow this with 3-D animated versions of the live versions.
