Well, even if he flounders, he'll make more in 4 years at LSU


Then he would in 10 at VCU most likely. It's a six year contract so he's got good security. Not only that, but being successful at two locations (even in a short time), he can probably get another mid-major job a couple years after losing the LSU job.

And the ceiling is still higher over the long haul at LSU than it is at VCU. And he doesn't think he's going to fail.
