Thanks Hokie83! So the guess would be that Hillcrest heard about the other top candidates and thought that Whit might go in that direction?

I am sure only Whit knew what he was going to do and even that took him time and interviews/talking to figure out for himself. Anybody that hires knows even with a favorite going into the process you try to keep an open mind about all the top candidates.
