You have not presented one single negative of this situation rather than you feel it is silly.

I offered several positive aspects to this type of situation:
1) First to offer
2) Previous history of positive results of same type situation
3) Blue bloods have been using it for years against us
4) Proof that Fuente is taking recruiting seriously and is making a great effort to level the field against our recruiting competition.

There is also a neutral aspect and that is if the recruit doesn't develop as expected, then a written offer is never extended and everyone goes their merry way.

I offered you an article above to let you read about how the offers such as this work so you might be able to understand why VT can not have a public announcement of this type of offer.

I thought based on past posting history, you seemed to appreciate reasoned, logical discussion so that is what I offered. There was nothing sensitive or emotion based about any of my responses. Thanks for that though..
