Wichita State would accept an AAC offer if invited
This is not new news, but interesting to me. If I were a Shockers fan, I wouldn't be too excited about a move like this. WSU, like Gonzaga, seems to do well in basketball regardless of conference affiliation. WSU in the AAC will be a stranger in a strange land (not geographically but athletically). Sure, they'd be close enough to Memphis or SMU, but is this move really worth it? Especially considering schools like UConn, Cincinnati and Houston have all made it very clear that they'll hitch a ride on the next P5 bus if offered? Maybe WSU has felt the need for "better" things since Creighton bolted for the Big East. But from my standpoint, WSU will make the tournament every year and have some good results just doing what they're doing.
