You can see it clearly here. It's right on the front of the engine, just under the plastic engine cover. Piece of cake replacing filters!

I normally remove the filter first, allowing any oil that remained in the filter to drain back into the pan. That removes a few extra ounces of dirty oil that was being held in the filter by the check valve.
