PH Roanoke in the state semis Mason's freshman year. They had Quinton Spain who went to WVU as a left tackle and Dujuan Maxwell who was arguably their best player who ended up at High Point. Mason had a smooth game even for a freshman but, lightly recruited mostly due to academics and somewhat overlooked/underappreciated during his high school years because of Highland Springs guard and a few other names in Virginia. Tonight hurts for him I am sure but, he had an outstanding college career which easily exceeded the evaluations of him coming out of high school.
