Huh? This makes no sense


What was he supposed to do? Forego contractually obligated cash to him? Noone would do that (and if you say you would, you're full of it).

He did the best he could at VT. That wasn't enough, especially given his level of experience. He got fired. But he was paid what he was owed. You'd be a fool to not collect what you are owed.
