Las Vegas did have an indoor team (Las Vegas Outlaws) for the 2015 season.


FWIW it appears that arena football has split into 2 leagues. The AFL has 5 franchises (Cleveland being the western most franchise) and the Indoor Football League (IFL) has 10 franchises (Green Bay being the eastern most franchise).

As far as Las Vegas Raiders being a great indoor football name, I am not sure it can top the Arizona Rattlers, Iowa Barnstormers, Orlando Predators, or New Orleans VooDoo. Besides, the Raiders would be forced to change their uniforms and logo to meet indoor league standards. Even though I am not a Raiders fan, I would hate to see the "Silver and Black" end up looking like the LA Kiss.
