Dang straight. Whatabout things the B1G, Pac12, Texas, ND, etc. have done?

The B1G actually envisioned a conference network way way back when. Pulled it off too. Then, when the Pac10 signed their 2010 TV deal, they clinged to network programming and had the novel idea of starting their own with NO partner. Now that may or may not have been the best move, but their schools have each ALREADY been bringing in 1 or 2 million per year from the Pac12N. That's about $10 million that VT and NC State haven't enjoyed thus far. Coulda helped with the Beamer Barn. And heck, the Pac12 always has the option of partnering with FOX to make the network even more profitable in the future. They may even be set up better than anyone else due to the cord cutting. They have a tremendous head start in the On Demand game.

Also, think about Texas discussing its very own network with ESPN. This happened only months after the ACC signed it's contract. How nutty an idea was that? And no matter how you slice it, Texas U has been making a ton of dough off that thing. Exposure galore as well

Finally, ND had a vision of its own contract with NBC a LONG time ago. You think these ACC dill rods coulda pulled something groundbreaking like that off?

I honestly do not know how these guys have jobs still. My best guess is certain key schools like the status quo so much that they're willing to ride it out. I also think there were so many new faces in the ACC Presidents meetings that nobody there was willing to rock the boat. Don't think VT, or Pitt, or BC, or Cuse wanted to "be that guy."
