Not so sure about the direction of the Softball program

I admit that I am not an X's and O's guy. I am just a fan. So maybe my opinion isn't worth that much. But what I am seeing is a team that is 6 games under .500 that is not sound fundamentally. I have witnessed what I consider to be lapses in awareness of the game. As in just not paying attention. Sorry, but at the level we desire to be playing you just can't have that. Example: In a recent game I watched an infielder field a routine grounder and start to make a throw to a base. Then it dawned on her that a base runner was about to pass right in front of her. It was like "oh crap, I better make the tag". My wife said "what on earth was she thinking?" In the same game a little pop up was just flat dropped by an infielder. You are correct if you point out that those things just happen. On the other hand, I see a team that lacks focus. Our lack of experience at the pitching position is hurting us. But our problems are deeper than that based on the games I have seen.
