At some point, the B1G needs to leave some resources for everyone else.

For instance, leaving Oklahoma and Texas for the Pac12 might be better for college athletics. If the B1G adds Texas and Oklahoma, they will end up with deals resulting in double the payouts of the Pac12. Millions of people watch OSU vs. Michigan, the B1G Network, and the B1GCG in the Mountain and Pacific time zones.

Thus, the B1G might not continue this attempt to conquer the world. They might begin to realize there's something in it for them to keep college athletics popular in other regions of the country.
