B1G seems to be the most likely destination for Texas at least...

ACC, P12, and B12 are also possible, but the B1G has the combination of payouts, academics, and northeast exposure that no other conference has. I think the UT ego might be knocked down far enough (esp. given A&M's recent revenues), that the LHN can be resolved - assuming it is still relevant in 5 years.

I simply do not see any realistic scenario where a B12 breakup benefits the ACC. IMO, the aftermath will include a mad scramble by the B1G and SEC to cannibalize the B1G, with the ACC scouring the east for a school with the right combination of academics and athletics. Good luck with that.

The ACC's best play is to hope the B12 remains intact so that it is not (further) eclipsed by the B1G and SEC. I do believe a massive poach by the B1G might cause the SEC to be desperate for a presence in North Carolina and Virginia. In that case, VT needs to think about long-term survival, exit fees notwithstanding.
