Agreed.

NC St., UNC, Duke, Wake-run the show here. Wake has ZERO other options and UNC and Duke have more than enough money to provide for a 15 man bball squad. NC State COULD consider a move if offered.

BC, Louisville, Pitt, Cuse- They're just happy to be in the room. They have no better offers. Never will. Payout difference for Big12 isn't large enough for them to find that more appealing. Big12 schools aren't gonna sell all that many tickets at this schools and they don't want to sent their student athletes across the country. (These schools will just go along with whatever Tobacco Road decides.)

VT-WAS just happy to be in the room. I don't doubt that Steger and Weaver weren't excited to be rubbing elbows with their counterparts at Duke and UNC. I'm hoping that the new leadership will begin to recognize the real value of VT athletics. VT should be a leader in the room moving forward. I hope they are. (VT poppycocked their best opportunity to lead this league.)

UVA-they have plenty of money, so even $20 million isn't worth it for them to leave behind traditional rivals. Tradition is HUGE at that school. (They will go along with whatever Tobacco Road decides too.)

GT-doesn't have anywhere else to go. Would likely consider a B1G offer if one were made. B1G wishes to bridge the gap between Atlanta and Ohio though. (GT seems to be along for the ride. They just aren't all that interested in bigtime college athletics, not enough to ruffle feathers in Greensboro.)

Miami-has nowhere else to go. Doesn't have the clout to change much of what has happened at decision making levels.

ND-has the best deal in the game right now. They're a vote for the status quo ALL DAY LONG. They love negotiating with Swofford, they've worked him over pretty good.

FSU and Clemson- can and have been agents for change. I LOVE how FSU strongarmed the ACC into one of its better decisions. They also DEMANDED a network, which they got. Good for them. I hope they throw their weight around more. What works for these schools is generally what's good for VT.
