If examples of specific student athletes can be shown to only have been eligible by taking those courses, you have NCAA violations. I am not aware of any names of any athletes that can be shown to have violations like that. This has been looked at for 7 years looking for those names.

One benefit of these courses was that they didn't require any of the athlete's time. More time to devote to athletics instead of academics. But that doesn't cause a violation as the bylaws were written.

Without any examples of violations you then have the NCAA punishing a member because they don't like the quality of their courses. That is over reach.
