I have no objection to college athletics using the promotion/relegation

system. Since EPL plays a 38 game schedule so each club can play the other 19 clubs home and away in the same season, then it would be interesting to see how the conferences implement it. Does a conference reduce the number of members and extend the regular season so everyone plays each other home and away in the same season? Does a conference reduce the number of members and do promotion/relegation over a certain time (i.e. 2 years) in order for teams to play each other home and away without extending the schedule? Does a conference keep the same number of members and just extend the time period covered before implementing promotion/relegation?
