ND/OU/UT and let's say that they add

from only teams that are available (current B12 and G5 schools) and not raid another conference.

It could play out something like this.

Kansas (gotta have a BB blueblood)
UNLV (great hoops tradition, growing market)
BYU (great football tradition)
Oklahoma St. (always good in hoops and football, OU rival)
UConn (eastern presence, great hoops tradition)

I think these mega conferences have too much dead weight in them. It's like the 800-pound gorilla in the conference expansion room.

A conference like this would cover all the bases. New markets, eastern presence, quality hoops schedule, blue bloods in football, 5 OOC football games.

I'm not saying this is the 5 teams I would pick, but it's just an example.
