It should make WVU attractive, but it may ultimately come down

to how long the "right people" continue to hold their noses in the air in the name of "academics." Right now I think the ACC still has enough people from the Old Guard still in power (or at least the right positions). As long as they are in power then I believe 1 of the ACC's main goal is to be on par with the Ivy League in academics and research. While I think it is a noble goal and applaud schools/conferences that want to continue improving their academic reputation, I do wonder if it is starting to get to the point where it might be better if academic "conferences" and athletic conferences are not so intertwined.
