The reason for this being the fact that the 2017 consensus # 1 player is Michael Porter, Jr, who recently followed his father, Michael Porter, to Mizzou after Porter Sr. was dismissed from Lorenzo Romar's staff at UW. At first I kept seeing Michael Porter and wondering if it was somehow the player who never matriculated at Tech under Charlie Moir. It turns out it wasn't since he Porter Sr. attended New Orleans.

Still, it's kind of a soft reminder that Tech missed on what appeared to be a top-notch player back in the mid-80s. Some on this board have said he might have been one of the best to have played in Cassell.
