I think the Cadet leadership scholarships are available to out-of-state


students, but I not sure on that. Then there are ROTC scholarships - VT has nothing to do with who gets 4-yr ROTC scholarships out of HS, but once you're there, the VT ROTC departments have a lot to do with who gets 3-yr and 2-yr scholarships.
If your kid(s) are real smart - look at Alabama. UA has a very aggressive scholarship program to attract out-of-state scholars. My son were there on a four-yr scholarship that covered everything but room and board. The selection was based on HS record and SAT scores.
