It may depend on if ESPN goes broke or not before the

agreement expires. If ESPN goes broke and is forced to re-structure, then it may void future payments ESPN owes the ACC or even the agreement all together. It comes down to how the contract was written and if there are any loopholes for either party to get out of the contract down the road. If the ESPN-ACC contract were to end prematurely, then it may be difficult for the ACC to get a new contract in place quickly with another network. Even if the ACC were to get a new contract quickly in place, then it is reasonable to expect the terms would be less favorable to the ACC because the network would know that the ACC is in a desperate situation to get something quickly in place.
