I did insist on in-state with my kids.
So far only one has gone to college... she chose George Mason University. Middle kid dropped out of high-school his senior effing year. Don't get me started on that little s***.
Third one is still in high school and he's learning carpentry at Vo-Tech. He'll likely end up a tradesman without student loans. If he actually learns what they're trying to teach him, he could be earning more than his brother and his sister within 5 years and not have the debt weighing on him his sister is currently carrying.
