You described every phone/technology company. You aren't forced into buying

New technology. I still use a iPhone 4s & my iPad2 & iPad Air first generatio & the meet my needs. Samsung was the first to come out w/the larger phones & has been consistently setting the pace with new features. Apple's just trying to keep up.
I've never had a problem with my Apple products other than the charger cord needed to be replaced.
