Shoot, Jerod Evans had very comparable numbers for last year. Both those QB's started essentially for one year. I'd rather have Evans at this point.

QB's are more than the stats they put up. His stat line looks decent but like Evans, he played in a very QB friendly offense; lots of screens and short passes.

He was only a starter for one year so I would throw out his previous two seasons of mop-up duty and inflated stats. The previous year he only had 47 pass attempts (completing 40 of them, but still).

Look, the kid doesn't have a great arm. he just looks the part. I'll bet you a turkey leg he won't amount to anything. The Bears were just stupid here.

But yes, he did sport nice stats.
