Probably a walk on ... because title 9 f'd over wrestling. Likely just fell below the level of a kid who could get some scholarship money. If he develops, there may be some money - 1/4 or 1/3 in the future. Coaches think enough of him to redshirt him this year.

Was a cadet AA when he was younger - freshman or sophomore yr in HS. So he has some talent but did not rise to elite, recruit level. Still, guys like that are good in the room and may possibly develop into a contributor ... like David Bergida. With only 9.9 schollys, teams need guys like him in the room.
