Also, to put this in perspective for those who complain


about the Nester girl at Carroll County High who committed to NC State rather than VT as a freshman, MaxPreps currently ranks them as #541 nationally. Carroll County has had a few close games this year, but is currently undefeated.

Overall competition in SW Va is not nearly as good as other areas of the state. Thus, the need to play on summer travel teams is necessary to see how good the players are against good to great competition.
