ESPN had no clue and misjudged

what the future was going to hold. The first thing that took place was a big increase in subs and revenue, then big payments for rights. Then a move to the left at the same time that cord cutting started.

Now cord cutting is at an all time high....first quarter of this year there were over 720k homes that cut the cord. People are moving to Hulu TV, no TV at all, etc, etc. ESPN had no clue this was going to take place and now are having to deal with the aftermath of it. They are getting crushed even though they still make some money.

The danger is losing another 40 million subs.

The ACCN will be released, but it isn't likely to rack in large payouts because of the change that is happening. The SECN has lost 7 million subs and will continue to lose more as ESPN loses more.

Eventually there will be a time when things level off when people who are going to cut the cord go through with it and those that will keep the TV bill keep it.

I'm looking at giving Hulu TV a try since they have all of the channels I watch and it is cheaper than my cable bill.
