I know a lot of Hokies aren't terribly excited about non-revs, and by extension, about this competition. I expect a lot of that has to do with our historic lack of competitiveness, both against UVa and in general.

But the fact is that we just won a year-long, all-sports competition against one of the preeminent programs in college sports. That's something to be really excited about. I'm really looking forward to seeing if we can beat our highest-ever Directors Cup ranking.

I look forward to the Hoos rationalizing this loss away as we've collectively done so many times in the past.
