at least not in Virginia, in my opinion. You get closer in state semis and finals but, the top tier travel teams are several levels above even Virginia HS state semis and final teams. This is just an estimate/opinion and maybe some travel ball coaches and high school coaches can chime in to offer more expert commentary. A top flight pitcher in the state finals and semis is probably facing line ups with 6-7 legitimate bats and average speed from slappers while the top tier travel line ups generally have 9 or more bats and top end speed from slappers setting the table.
