My point is make the number nine batter hit his way on with a three run


lead in the ninth inning. A HR would be a very unlikely scenario for most #9 hitters, by the way. A ball in play has a chance of being caught, a walk cannot be defended. Most coach's will tell you that walking any lead off hitter with a three run lead in the last inning is a very bad thing, walking #9 is just asking to get beat.
