You'd have a point if ANYONE knew how much it would earn.


It's SO far off, and it's SO unpredictable, that not even the ACC or ESPN has a clue how much this thing is going to make. EVERY indication is ESPN's miscalculated when estimating value for other contracts. It's almost laughable that almost everyone: the B1G, the NFL, MLB, the NBA, the SEC, TEXAS, got contracts that ESPN is struggling to pay out except the ACC. What a joke?

Anyhow, ESPN miscalculates a ton of stuff. Not that they have ever even put out a number on their predicted earnings from this network. Let's just do the math. For this thing to bring $10 million to VT each year, it's gonna have to bring about $145 million to the ACC in total. THAT's in addition to ESPN's cut, which would have to be $145 million. Does anybody really think this things gonna profit $300 million a year? If so, why was it such a struggle to make it happen? Even ESPN's been skeptical, and their track record is to be overly optimisitc about such things.
