I wouldn't have given them a yellow card

One of the cool things about soccer is the creative celebrations. I am pretty sure that celebrations has been used in either a league or national team match before. At the very least that celebration can be used in at least 1 of the FIFA soccer video games.

When I played youth sports, there were always kids who wanted to either play/celebrate like their favorite player. So I don't see why things would be any different with future generations. I see the yellow cards as being no different than a ref giving a kid a technical in a youth bball game for dribbling the ball between his legs with his tongue hanging out before making a jump shot (a la MJ).
