My assumptions: If ND joins >> reopen contract negotiations

ND would then be an equal partner (unless ACC totally caves prompting VT and other schools to abandon the conference). This means ND media revenues go into the ACC pot and are distributed equally from there, just like everybody else. I recognize that I have no idea what's possible with the NBC contract. So I assume nothing can happen prior to 2025.

Still, to me, this definitely improves the value of the ACC media rights and means an opportunity to increase the per team payout.

But honestly I'm less and less interested in ND joining in full. And I'm more and more intrigued by dropping divisions in favor of pod or protected rivalry scheduling. This and playoffs becoming P4 conference champs only could improve ACC football more than simply convincing ND (or WVU, or Texas) to join. And who knows, maybe ND keeps their independence after all. It won't mean nearly as much to the ACC if these other things are successfully implemented.
