Yes it does come off as petty.


I'm have several family member, friends, and acquaintances who are UVA alum or fans. We give each other friendly jabs but I hold no ill will towards them for their bad taste in schools:)

With that being said, how can you ignore the role of the other 9 members in this? He is but one vote. Did you read the part about the power that the chair of the committee has in this?

If you found out the vote was 9-1 against the Hoos with Babcock being lone vote for would you still feel the same way.

There is no evidence he campaigned against you. Was it a bad decision? Probably, but that doesn't mean he did it to screw over UVA.
