IMO, the ACC will eventually expand

Obviously I don't know for sure who the exact schools would be and when it would happen, but I expect it to happen.

My most realistic picks for ACC expansion candidates:

Notre Dame
UCONN
West Virginia
Cincinnati
Navy

I don't expect Notre Dame to join as a full member, but it will eventually happen. The new generations will not care as much about being independent as the older generations. The new generations are growing up associating ND as an ACC member besides a few football games.

West Virginia and Notre Dame is who I think the ACC expands with.
