I favor a reforming of divisions every couple of years.


You randomly mix and match the divisions every other season and then "protect" one cross over rivalry game with what you have left. In those odd years in which secondary rivalries like UNC/UVA, NC St./Clemson and VT/Miami cannot be made to work, those teams play OOC. Bingo Bango. 8 game schedule that's better, which will result in more money for Virginia Tech.

And people are nuts to forego such a thing in order to preserve things like VT's "Coastal division rivalries." Get real. VT has some heat w/ GT, Pitt, UNC, but I would give up my tickets to all three of those games each year for one ticket to Clemson or FSU.
