Right now there are only 8 schools that play in stadiums with 100K+ seats

Michigan, Penn State, Ohio State, TAMU, Tennessee, LSU, Alabama, and Texas. I believe all 8 average over 100K in attendance each year (based on bodies not ticket sales). Even though I am fine if TAMU is considered to be a blue blood, it may be the only one on the list that is questionable. It has a .604% overall winning percentage, but its last claimed national title was in 1939. Also, prior to Manziel showing up on campus I am not sure if the national audience had any interest in watching TAMU on TV (outside its game against Texas).

I have always considered TAMU to be in that next group right below blue bloods along with Michigan St, Wisconsin, and VT because TAMU didn't seem to have that same consistent appeal as FSU, Miami, Notre Dame, 'Bama, USC, Notre Dame, OU, or Texas. Now I do think interest in TAMU increased dramatically when it joined the SEC. I am not sure the interest will be sustainable when TAMU is having a "down year" or "down years" compared to the other blue bloods mentioned above.
