Yes - heartily recommend NCLabRescue or Lucky.Labs Charlotte.


All our Labbies have been rescued, the two most recent from NCLR. We've never used the LLC group but they're truly "local" to Charlotte, whereas NCLR is statewide. Both are great, but selection can vary and being approved to adopt can take a couple of weeks. If you're going to wait to adopt until after you've relocated to have enough room, makes more sense to wait to apply also, since they take your home into consideration as a big part of eligibility.

Our last two Labbies came from way up in Christmas tree country of NC in Todd NC and Gunner (shown here) came from Raleigh.

These last two Labs - adopted in 2006 and 2011, were both $275 each and both arrived fully "vetted" by NCLR's pro bono veterinarians in Winston-Salem, but they can have minor health issues.
