As far as what's available vs your giving level, I would just mention that if you're a new member, I don't know that your choices would be substantially different, even if you had been scheduled during seat selection. Your donation doesn't guarantee anything, or, said another way, just because you gave at Silver or higher doesn't mean you're guaranteed a Tier B parking spot. It just means you could select a Tier B if it one is available when it is your turn to pick. As a new member, you'd be one of the lowest ranked people in Tier B, so it's a definite possibility that you'd end up with a Tier C parking spot. I have some friends who have been Silver Hokies for 7 years and when it was their turn to pick, there were only spots left in one Tier B lot. I imagine Tier B filled up before every Silver+ selected. Winding up with seats towards the back of the donation area you were targeting is also not surprising to me. The priority formula was overhauled this year to shift preference to long-time donors, so any HC members that were new or only had a few years of donations are going to be on the tailend of things.
