Yes, but we aren't talking about newer sports to the american viewer.

we are talking basketball.

and ultimately baseball and football and all of the other sports that are played at the HBCU's.

they aren't starting any pro leagues in the US for those (primarily b/c it already exists) and the NCAA isn't going to let them in, hence my comment on NAIA.

If letting the teams die is OK, then it doesn't matter, but I'm not sure that is the case.
