Classification levels in sports in Virginia other than football, and especially in girl's softball, are not especially significant. They are no where near the relative differentiator they are for a sport like football. In softball, it is all about the players and more specifically the pitchers. Get a dominant pitcher and a couple of hitters and the smallest school can be competitive with the larger schools.
