No worries. It can get confusing at times because there

a lot of working parts and several plausible scenarios involved with this discussion.

In the scenario where the Playoffs expand to 8 teams and CCG is not included in the Playoffs, then it means adding 1 more game. It may be debatable how much of a factor the 1 extra game is when it comes to player safety and travel cost. Maybe the bigger factor is a team's fanbase could end up traveling to 4 games. Using VT for example purposes, the fanbase could end up with this travel schedule.

Dec 2, 2017: ACC CCG in Orlando, FL (even if it was in Charlotte, NC not everyone could drive to the game)

Dec 16, 2017: Quarterfinals in Shreveport, LA (Independence Bowl)

Dec 31, 2017: Semi-Finals in Tempe, AZ (Fiesta Bowl)

Jan 8, 2018: Championship Game in Indianapolis, IN (RCA Dome)

I am not sure how many Hokies could afford to attend all 4 games. If they can't attend all the games, then which game(s) do they skip? I believe this is one of the factors that would drive the Playoff to incorporate the CCGs so it reduces the travel cost on fans.
