If he finds he can go in the first round, yes
The good news in basketball is that he can declare after his Freshman year and get feedback to see what scouts think of him. If he likes the feedback he gets (ie: He will get drafted and/or he could be a lottery pick), he's gone. But as long as he doesn't hire an agent, if he is told that he could work on some things to boost his stock for the next year, he'll probably come back.
It surprises me though to see a mock draft put him that high for next year. But he does have a ton of talent.
