Never understood why they don't make helmets with cushion on the outside
like they do on the inside. I mean, just a 1/2 inch of foam padding like you find on the inside. Now, when two helmets meet, it's like your head is inside a big, ringing bell. No matter how much padding you have on the inside, it's going to reverberate. Also, imagine what it feels like getting hit on a bony surface like a hand, elbow or kneecap from the hard plastic of a helmet. Cushioning the outside would prevent a lot of those injuries as well.
