Even if Texas Tech is a member of the Pac-16 in football,

it won't be wearing the Pac-16 patch on its jerseys or have the Pac-16 banner/logo advertising on the athletic facilities for the sports it is a member of the MWC, WAC, Sun Belt, C-USA, and Southland conferences. What benefit does the Pac-16 Network have promoting games for these other conferences? If they do decide to televise other conferences' games, then they may have to give those conferences some sort of fee for those rights. Even if a conference doesn't have its own network, it may still own the rights to televise the athletic events of their members.
