A little late responding here but...

even if it was for Gable's benefit, he did exactly what Tom Brands refused to do: engage with VT. It would have been for Tom Brands' benefit to visit this year to bury the hatchet, show some character and grow up, but still refused.

I too would have loved to see Dan Gable and other besides just Cael Sanderson chiding the Tom Brands decision. I think even Brent Metcalf is over it - too bad his old coach isn't.
