Only thing I'd add was quantity of running
This is the ironic one because many of his runs would have been passes if he had learned to get beyond the first read. Which in turn is why he shouldn't have left.
But you are correct - Jerod was / is afraid of no one when it comes to competition. He would have had to compete for the job this season, but I'm certain that in his mind he never even considered the possibility he could lose that competition. He just doesn't have those types of thoughts.
