Watching Patrick Rodgers lead this weekend reminds me how good these guys


are. He's from the Indianapolis area and played as an amateur out of my home course Crooked Stick. Each year we play a Black Tee event stretching the course to 7600 yards. My handicap runs between 6-8. Two years ago I shot 86 in the event, but Patrick Rodgers shot 66. He beat me by 20 shots, and I hit it well that day.
