HBO Now was going strong, though...

Was watching the season 6 finale when 9pm ruled through, no problems. Switched between a few episodes looking for scenes (Arya killing Meryn Trant, Hardhome, etc.) waiting for the wife to be ready, then turned on S7E1 with no problems.

Thoughts:
- Opening scene killed it (pun intended)
- Liked Arya's scene with the Lannister soldiers. Meeting them will help her find her humanity again, as a counterpoint to Cersei losing hers.
- Thought Jon was making a mistake not listening to Sansa, but liked his resolution there. Of course, they had no choice but to bend the knee.
- Euron's scene was fun to watch. He'll be an interesting dude for Cersei to lock horns with. (Who else does she have for that, locally?)
- Great job by the scriptwriters to have Dany's homecoming in silence. Really set the mood well.
- In all, the episode did a good job to set the stage for the season.
