First I didn't say 2015 bowl game was not deserved. I said some of the others were not with the most obvious being the Fiesta against Oregon as one of the more egregious. As far as the 2012 12-0 team, the 42-14 championship game pasting by Bama speaks to the talent level of that ND team and just as you bemoan the 2 close losses in 2015 you conveniently ignore the two escapes against Stanford and Pitt in 2012. I understand your defense of ND and would do the same thing if I were in your shoes. I, however, happen to be on the other side of the coin and believe that ND football has been vastly overrated since the last Holtz championship team and more often than not has traded on their historical mystique and national profile to get slots that their on the field performance sometimes did not justify at the expense of more deserving schools(for that year. Also, just because I do not agree or necessarily like it doesn't mean I wouldn't be arguing for the very same treatment were my school to have the same argument.;-) I will also say Brian Kelly makes it much easier to dislike the Irish but, the Notre Dame fan base has earned the respect and accolades they get.
